MARYLAND

MARYLAND'S MEDICAL MARIJUANA LAW IS BROKEN!

It's True. Medical marijuana patients are treated like criminals in Maryland. They can still be arrested, prosecuted, and convicted - even if they possess a doctor's recommendation. Marylanders who suffer from serious or chronic disease deserve a law that works. Support access to an effective medicine and real protections for patients. We are not criminals. We are mothers, fathers, sisters, employees, and business owners. We take care of our families, we pay taxes, and we vote.

Help us fix Maryland's medical marijuana law.

2010 Legislative Session

HB 712/SB 627

Medical marijuana legislation has been introduced in the Maryland General Assembly! HB 712 and SB 627 would protect Maryland residents who use cannabis (marijuana) in accordance with a physician’s recommendation from arrest and prosecution by state authorities and seeks to provide patients with safe and secure access to medical marijuana through state sanctioned dispensing centers.

ASA unequivocally supports changes to state law to establish comprehensive civil and legal protections for individuals who use or provide cannabis for therapeutic use.

The time to change Maryland's medical cannabis law is now!  To make medical marijuana legal across the state, we need supporters like you to step up to the plate.  It will be up to patients and patient advocates to make sure that Maryland's laws truly advance safe access to medical marijuana for those who need it.
